Born and bred in Australia and produced in Europe using the highest quality crystal, we are proud to be the first Australian wine style-specific glassware brand. The Plumm team poured a whole lot of love into the design and production of the Plumm range of wine glasses.

FINDING THE RIGHT BALANCE

When the Plumm team embarked on the project it sought opinions from some of the world's leading winemakers, sommeliers, wine judges and wine writers. It was their job to sniff, swirl, slurp, argue and inspire and needless to say, without their help, we would never have created the wine glasses we have.

From extensive testing and research, we concluded that there were two distinctive glass shapes, for both red and white wine, that noticeably improved the wine drinking experience. We simply named these wine glasses Reda, Redb, Whitea and Whiteb, in addition to a glass designed specifically for sparkling.

We also applied our findings to a range of materials and a number of production methods. The end result was four distinctively different ranges of glassware - Plumm Handmade Vintage (hand blown crystal), Plumm Vintage, Plumm Stemless and Plumm Outdoors (Unbreakable Polycarbonate).

Using the right wine glass can mean the difference between a good glass of wine and a great one. Just as listening to music requires the right acoustics, great wine needs the right wine glass to showcase everything it has to offer.

The size and shape of the glass is responsible for enhancing the smell and taste of wine and to balance the wine by ensuring that all of the characteristics and components are working together and presenting the wine at its best.
